Plans are a scheduled inspection, not insurance and not a repair contract. Repairs are quoted in writing and billed separately, and you pay for the walk whether or not you book repairs. Yearly plans are charged once a year. To cancel, tell us before your next walk is booked and we won't renew it.

How a plan runs

From booking to next spring

  1. Step 1: You book

Pick a plan and a week. We confirm the day in writing and tell you who is coming.

  2. Step 2: We walk

Porch to panel, in the same order every time. You do not need to be home for all of it.

  3. Step 3: You get the report

Findings, photos and a circuit map. Anything that needs repair comes with a written quote.

  4. Step 4: We contact you next spring

On a yearly plan we write to book the next walk, and this year's report goes beside the last one.

  5. Step 5: You can stop any time

Tell us before the next walk is booked and the plan does not renew. Nothing else to sign.

Questions

Questions about the plans

What does the walk cost, and what isn't included?

The plans page lists each plan and what it includes, and the price of the plan you pick is given in writing when you book. Parts, repairs and permits are never part of a plan: we quote them separately, in writing, before any work starts.

Will my insurer care about my wiring?

Some insurers ask about old wiring or panels. We can't speak for yours and we don't promise coverage. The report lists what we found, with photos, so you have something to show.

Does my old house need rewiring?

Not by default. Age alone doesn't decide it. We look at the condition of what is in the walls, how it has been changed over the years and what is plugged into it. The report tells you what we found and what we would do first.

My house is in a historic district. Does that change anything?

Interior wiring is your own business, but exterior changes, such as a new porch lantern, can need review first. We note it in the report when we see it. The city has the final say on what is allowed.

Put the walk on the calendar

Tell us about the house and which plan fits. We write back with times.
